Objectives: Gain an in-depth understanding of the 14 CFR Part 5 Aviation SMS Safety Risk Management process and the Bowtie Risk Management methodology. Learn to apply the Bowtie method to gain detailed perspectives about aviation risks and to apply a control-based approach to realistically assessing and managing risk. Includes discussion of applying Bowtie to the Safety Assurance process, including auditing controls, investigating causes of accidents and incidents, relating them back to control failures and deficiencies and undertaking appropriate corrective actions.

This course will be offered as a hybrid approach combining in-person attendance and virtual attendance via Zoom. In-person location is at the TSI headquarters:
